Crisis Plan

September 21, 2016:

Drills include fire, intruder, earthquake and evacuation.

Some time this year, Suncrest Elementary and our school will conduct a site evacuation drill. They are our evaluation spot and we are theirs, should students have to be outside for an extended period of time. In that case, a link would be sent out to parents to retrieve their children from that location, as needed.

The central purpose for drills is to ensure the safety of all children, staff and parent volunteers who are at Geneva ES. Like the scouts, we want to “Be prepared!”

If you have questions, please let me know.

FYI we also have a GES Safety Committee who meets each trimester to discuss safety issues. The recent link re: parking lot safety was generated from that committee. Mrs. Snow is the PTA Rep, Mr. Torgerson chairs it. Mr Larsen-our Head Custodian, a 6th grade Rep and I also are on it, so that all entities at GES are represented. If you have feedback, let one of these members know. Our next meeting is on January 10th. We met on September 13th.

Note: SCC and PTA Leaders will meet with ASD Reps re: information about upcoming bond on the November ballot. It will be at 4:00 on Monday, September 26th in our library.

Thank you,

Principal Conley
